Have fun in this lively, information packed class. Learn tricks for Flying Geese and Lemoyne Star blocks. This efficient way of quilting turns some traditional “rules” upside down. Get a custom look quickly without a lot of marking and limited starts and stops. These patterns use the combination of motifs, connectors, and outliners for unlimited design potential! They are easy to learn so you can start making more money today. The workbook provides instant practice and application of the techniques. Zentangle Inspired Wholecloth Quilt - April 14 1 - 5       

Hands on Design Class 

In this relaxed and inspiring class you learn how to translate Zentangle® designs into a beautiful wholecloth quilt. First you will learn the background and basics of Zentangle and create your own Zentangle® tiles with ink and pencil. Then using the method of “stringing” and repetitive designs, we translate the Zentangle® into continuous line designs. We will work in sections, first creating our own strung tessellations, then filling each section with Zentangles®. We will discuss how to transfer your designs to fabric. I will demonstrate how to quilt the designs and show you how to add dimension and texture to your quilt with trapunto, thread, and inking. By the end of class you will have drawn sections of your Zentangle® wholecloth and will have the tools necessary to complete the project at home. You will learn 24 Zentangle® quilting patterns. All of the Zentangle® quilting patterns are also suitable for background fillers. Elaine is a Certified Zentangle® Instructor. $12 Kit Fee collected in class.
