Calling all Creatives! Retreat at the Beach is back! Susan Moen and I are hosting and teaching at this exciting retreat!
Here’s the great thing about Retreat at the Beach, it is so much more than just making art. We make friends, we laugh, we share meals, we watch the sunset on the beach. But most of all we inspire each other while creating in a safe and inclusive space!

We have exciting projects waiting for you! Explore new materials, level up your Zentangle® pattern art and learn new techniques! All projects are designed in a step by step format that allows all creatives - from new to experienced - to make wonderful art!

Our Hotel

The retreat is at the Sea Crest Beach Beach Resort in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Every guest room is beautifully appointed and just steps away from the beach. In our large meeting space you will choose a seat for the entire weekend! The Sea Crest has fabulous food! The retreat includes two beautiful buffet lunches and a fabulous buffet dinner. The hotel has an indoor pool, fitness center and a hot tub!

Travel 

The Sea Crest Beach Resort is located about 1 1/2 hour drive from Boston. It's easy to find at 350 Quaker Road in Falmouth Massachusetts.  If you're flying into Boston's Logan Airport you can take the Peter Pan bus to Falmouth and we will pick you up at the bus station. Providence Rhode Island's TF Green Airport is also about 1 1/2 hours from Falmouth if you prefer to fly there and rent a car.

About Elaine Huffman

After earning a BFA in Studio Art I had a 15 year career as a business analyst in the insurance industry.  I then ran Pleasant Valley Quilting where I quilted over 2000 quilts, taught and published.

I am the founder of TangleU Productions. Tangle U Productions which ran online classes in a variety of art topics including Zentangle®, Mixed Media, and Bookbinding. I curated 30 in-person and hybrid and Zoom retreats.

In 2023 I rebranded under the name Elaine Huffman Studio. The studio is a reset of my creative endeavors where I am teaching mixed media, bookbinding, meditative art, fiber arts and curate retreats.

I’m Susan Moen CZT28, I’ve been an artist all my life but it wasn’t until I met Zentangle® in 2013 that I gained any artistic confidence. I decided to go further with my Zentangle journey and earned my Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) certificate 2017. I have been teaching ever since! I teach on Zoom and in person from my new studio in Sarasota Florida: Zentangle at The Crystal Cave, I’m on Facebook and Instagram and my website is crystalcave.me, email is crystalcave.me @gmail.com.

The Details

The retreat fee is $549* this includes: all of the specialized art supplies, classes with Elaine and Susan, two beautiful buffet luncheons, a delicious buffet dinner, fabulous classroom by the sea, the company of fellow creatives and sunsets!

​You choose a single payment of $549 or two payments $399 to register and a second payment of $199 due on September 1, 2025.

Cancellation Policy: Your retreat fee includes a $300 non-refundable registration fee. Cancellations prior to September 1, 2025 will receive a refund less the Non-refundable registration fee. There are no refunds after September 1, 2025.

​*Hotel accommodations are booked directly with the Sea Crest at the negotiated rate of $159/night - how to reserve your room is in your confirmation email. There is a reduced resort fee of $10.
