]]><![CDATA[I wonder who is Teaching at  Tangle U 2016?]]>Mon, 03 Aug 2015 21:15:39 GMThttp://www.elainehuffman.com/events-for-tanglers--blog/i-wonder-who-is-teaching-at-tangle-u-2016The faculty roster for Tangle U 2016 is coming together and I really shouldn't tell you who is teaching, yet. Because I do have more teachers to hire.... but I just can't contain myself! Ready?

Cherryl Moote will be on the faculty this year! Yea! Cherryl will teach one of our core classes that all students take AND she is teaching an optional class on Thursday. How exciting is this! I can't tell you what exactly she is teaching yet, but it will be great. I've taken classes with Cherryl and she is a fabulous, giving, teacher!

Here's a little about Cherryl:

Cherryl is a calligrapher, bookbinder and paper artist and CZT. Cherryl was born with a natural teaching talent and loves to create print materials, videos and classes that allow you to learn new techniques with maximum enjoyment and success. The inspiration and guidance that she has received from her teachers and mentors have made her aware of the need to support other artists and craftspeople as they explore the paper arts.  Cherry is the author of many books and videos on paper folding and bookbinding as well as a series of books relating to Zentangle®. I had the chance to take a couple of classes with Cherryl at a retreat about 2 years ago. Here's a picture of Cherryl showing one of her beautiful creations.

Mark your calendar - Tangle U 2016 is from April 28 - May 1, 2016 at the fabulous Portland Regency hotel in Portland Maine! We will have 3 full days of classes and lots of optional things including a pre-day of classes to choose from, optional evening activities, field trips that you and your guest can attend and of course great meals, shopping, sharing, laughs and hugs!

]]><![CDATA[Tangle U 2015 - The Fun we had!]]>Wed, 29 Jul 2015 15:20:45 GMThttp://www.elainehuffman.com/events-for-tanglers--blog/tangle-u-2015-the-fun-we-hadWow the time has flown by since Tangle U 2015 in Santa Fe New Mexico! We had excellent accommodations and meals at the Inn and Spa at Loretto - dare I say we we're pampered in a fancy schmancy hotel? Oh yea! 

It was fun from our pre-day Ofrenda class with Denise Rudd straight through to our champagne toast and diplomas on Sunday afternoon! We all learned so much from our excellent faculty line up - Suzanne McNeill, Ann Grasso, Kate Lamontagne, Brenda Shaver, Amy Broady, Marie Browning, Sharla Hicks, and Minette Riordan! The "A" team! Or should that be the "Z" team?

Enjoy the slide show of some of  the fun we had things we made!  Then - for CZTs only, mark your calendar for Tangle U 2016 -  April 28 - May 1, 2016 in Portland Maine. The hotel block opens shortly and event registration opens in October 2015.
