Tangle U 2019

Tangle U is the premier continuing education event for CZTs.  Each year Tangle U attracts students from around the globe who gather for outstanding education, fun, sharing and surprises! Tangle U 2019 is in Asheville North Carolina!  In our seventh year, we have an outstanding lineup of core classes that all registered students attend - starting with our kick off class Sunday evening! AND we have  "extra credit" on two evenings.  New this year! On Tuesday evening we will enjoy the incredible views and an Elegant Dinner! Then we will board coaches to the Biltmore Estate  for small group docent lead tours of the mansion. Each year TangleU offers scholarships to qualified applicants. The application due date is September 20, 2018 for information on how to apply click here.
All of your teachers at Tangle U are CZTs and all of your classes are designed to "take and teach". You will leave with a binder full of lesson plans, resources and examples ready for you to teach to your students!  The six core classes were selected to provide you with a variety of topics!

Open Studio - during free time or optional activity times a space is open (at no extra charge) for tangling, open mic, and socializing! This is a very popular option with "pop-up" classes and generous sharing of information!
Do you like to shop? Our vendor area has art supplies of course and all kinds of colorful things that you'll want to bring home with you! Interested in vending?

We will have a Student Gallery where you can display a favorite tile or ZIA - aways an amazing display! Keep in mind that everyone carries a camera so displaying your work means you're okay with others taking pictures of your work.

I know you want to schedule your travel, So we are announcing now our fabulous optional excursions! On Friday we will have a motor coach excursion into the Blue Ridge Mountains where you'll see lovely natural sites and visit the Blue Ridge Folk Art. A second Friday excursion is guided tour of the River Arts District. On Thursday evening you can join other TangleU students on our private La Zoom comedy bus! And on Monday afternoon you can relax in the Asheville Salt Caves after classes adjourn. Sign up and payment for these optional activities will be announced.
